Description

This is the only time that James Arness' brother Peter Graves worked on GUNSMOKE, and it was probably the first time
that Graves directed. Included here is the audio commentary track that he recorded for the Directors Collection box set
early in 2006, almost 40 years to the day this was filmed.



The disappointing script was by somebody much capable of better material: Les Crutchfield, who had also written for the
radio version of this series.



The main guest star in this silly comedy is familiar character actor and western vet R.G. Armstrong. 

Also in the cast are comic actors: Elizabeth Fraser (in the previous decade was Sgt. Bilko's girlfriend Sgt. Hogan on
The Phil Silvers Show), George "Goober" Lindsey from The Andy Griffith Show, and Shelley Morrison, who in
recent years played the Hispanic maid on "Will & Grace".
